Senior Thesis
Overview
The Senior Capstone project is the culmination of all that the students have learned about writing, research, presentation, rhetoric, and organization. In a yearlong exercise, students have the opportunity to embrace their curiosity and research whatever interests them.
Using the design thinking process, students navigate from topic selection to research to argument formation to outlining to drafting a final thesis that reveals their personal voice on the topic. They conduct personal interviews, give oral presentations, and engage in project planning to create a final product in a format of their choosing. Students seek guidance from members within the Wakefield community and from professionals in their field of study to assist in this process. Upon completion of the thesis, students present their work to the student body and faculty at the Senior Capstone Day.
